Jayadevi, RYT-200, is certified in Hatha I, Hatha II, and Restorative Yoga. She currently teaches regular weekly classes and special workshops at Integral Yoga Institute in New York City, where she also works on staff as teacher training administrator.
With a diverse background in classical dance and contemporary expressive movement, Jayadevi came to Yoga as a performing artist and dance teacher, seeking a gentler approach to realizing the body’s full potential. Through Yoga, Jayadevi found that her true purpose is to share her experience with others, believing that every practice is a sacred moment of heartfelt offering and devotion, revealing the true essence that unites us all.
Jayadevi focused on East Asian Studies at New York University and Nanjing University, and has traveled extensively in China exploring Eastern philosophy, spiritual practices, and plant-based medicine. She continued her studies with a concentration in Psychology and Human Development at the State University of New York, with special interest in alternative approaches to mental health. In the spirit of metta, she combines these experiences to offer her services in a holistic approach to mental, physical, and spiritual wellness practices. It is her hope and intention to help others find peace and happiness in their daily lives.
