In this 3-part Hatha Yoga series we look at the basics of how and why we practice asana. We will address alignment and safety, using props when needed or substituting practices that don’t work for you as well as understanding the benefits of individual practices.

Sometimes we need to engage in poses more to create stability or we need to let go of extra effort to relieve strain. This balance of effort and relaxation, strength and flexibility requires listening to the body’s messages. The Integral Yoga style is well known for its meditative approach and for the peaceful feeling at the end of the classes. We will look at why and how that happens.

 

This series is suitable for beginners as well as anyone learning to find confidence to start independent peaceful home practice. Each workshop includes Integral Yoga style practice, theory and individual focus on poses and Q&A. This series is limited to 8 people to provide space for individualized approach and questions.
